This is your opportunity to drive cutting‑edge design, guide project execution, and make a lasting impact across diverse transportation initiatives.What You'll Do:Lead the technical execution of complex engineering designs, technical reports, and specifications for bridge infrastructureProvide expert consultation and resolve highly complex technical issues in various areas of bridge and transportation engineering, such as bridge design and accelerated bridge construction (ABC)Lead advanced technical projects, collaborating with other engineering departments and project management staff to deliver sustainable solutionsDevelop and manage discipline work plans aligned with project milestones, ensuring projects are completed within budget and scheduling restraintsGuide and mentor junior engineering staff, including providing technical reviews and supportDeliver technical development of proposals and external presentations to clients, public, and regulatory agenciesWhat You Bring:Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering requiredMinimum of 10 years progressive engineering experience required; bridge experience desiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredODOT or INDOT experience preferredExpert knowledge of the respective engineering discipline with a proven ability to apply best practicesAdvanced proficiency with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering lawsDemonstrated leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsParticipation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferredWhy You'll Love It Here:Serve as a technical leader within the transportation discipline, leading challenging bridge projects that drive innovation and technical excellenceMake a measurable impact while mentoring the next generation of engineering talentFlexible work environment with opportunities for local and occasional travelCurious about the impactful work our Bridge team is doing?
