As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures. You will provide top-of-the-industry engineering services that are verified through a rigorous QC process. You will create connections with team members. Your efforts will support in developing client relationships through utilizing cutting-edge technology, innovation, and designing infrastructure that will last.What are the core responsibilities for the role? Design, evaluate, and analyze highway bridgesPrepare designs, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and specificationsWork in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTsPerform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge softwareExperience with the design of multiple bridge types in concrete and steel, wall systems, and minor structuresEstablish and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction; ensure client objectives are metExperience with AASHTO LRFD, AISC, ACI, and other North American design codesStrong people skills and an ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environmentAssist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation and structural engineeringStructures lead for projects, coordinating staff and design effortsQualifications, Skills, and Competencies: B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Masters a plusRegistered PE, SE required12+ years experienceWillingness to work on projects locally or in workshare with other offices, some travel required– Experience working in bridge design teamDesign Build and Alternative Delivery experience a plusEstablished relationships with local clients (WSDOT/ITD) a plusSolid understanding of transportation projectsWhy would a candidate want this job?
