The Senior Bridge Project Manager will work within HDR's Transportation Business Group to design and manage bridge projects that support economic vitality, public safety, and quality of life.Responsibilities Plan and manage all aspects of small to medium single‑discipline engineering projects or large, routine projects.Foster and develop client relationships for yourself and your staff.Independently coordinate work of engineers and balance planning team throughout entire project's development.Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.Track financial aspects of projects and coordinate or adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed‑to schedule.Collaborate with peers and team members to create a cohesive practice.Perform complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects to ensure completion of documents on schedule.Work on projects that typically include bridge (steel plate girder, prestress concrete, segmental and cable‑stayed), box culvert, andinterchange design for highway and railway projects.Select standard bridge engineering/design procedures, develop structural details using specialized structural design and analysis software, and perform structural load calculations and assist with geometric layout and quantity development.Review, assign work and/or check design calculations, estimates, and specifications produced by junior engineers and EITs.Mentor younger staff and support continued development.Preferred Qualifications Structural Engineer in the State of Washington (or able to achieve reciprocity within 6 months).20+ years of bridge design experience.Familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project.Familiarity with engineering software packages such as: PGSuper, SAP2000, CSiBridge, LARSA4D, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, Midas Civil, MDX, ADINA, RM Bridge, spColumn, or LUSAS.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering.10years related experience.A minimum 5years project management experience.Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.
