Senior Business Analyst – BI & Reporting

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst BI & Reporting to lead business intelligence and reporting initiatives using Amazon QuickSight. The ideal candidate will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and offshore development teams, translating business requirements into clear reporting specifications and accurate, business-focused dashboards.

This is a highly client-facing role requiring strong business analysis, SQL, data analytics, reporting governance, and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct requirements workshops with business users, product owners, and technology stakeholders.

• Gather and document reporting requirements, business KPIs, and analytical use cases.

• Define dashboard scope, priorities, user personas, and acceptance criteria.

• Develop dashboard wireframes, mock-ups, and functional specifications.

• Analyze source data using SQL and Databricks.

• Identify source tables, fields, joins, filters, and data granularity.

• Prepare source-to-report mappings and transformation specifications.

• Validate KPI calculations, aggregations, and reporting accuracy.

• Coordinate with offshore Amazon QuickSight development teams.

• Review datasets, dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, and filters.

• Coordinate functional testing, data reconciliation, and defect resolution.

• Manage reporting backlogs, priorities, risks, and dependencies.

• Coordinate dashboard demonstrations, UAT, and business sign-off.

• Support production deployment and post-deployment validation.

Required Qualifications

• 8 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, Business Analysis, or Data Analytics.

• Strong experience gathering and documenting dashboard and reporting requirements.

• Advanced SQL and data-analysis skills.

• Working knowledge of Amazon QuickSight, including datasets, analyses, dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, filters, security, SPICE, and Direct Query.

• Strong understanding of KPIs, dimensional data models, aggregations, and data granularity.

• Experience with reporting specifications, source-to-report mappings, wireframes, and acceptance criteria.

• Experience in data reconciliation and functional validation.

• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and communication skills.

• Ability to coordinate effectively with offshore development teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks-based data environments.

• Enterprise BI reporting implementation experience.

• Agile delivery and reporting backlog management.

• RAID management (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies).
