About the Team the Real Estate Capital (REC) Originations Technology team delivers and supports the technology solutions that enable KeyBanks Commercial Real Estate lending business. The team partners closely with Originations, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Credit Administration, and Technology organizations to deliver strategic capabilities supporting the full CRE loan lifecycle. Key platforms include Moodys CreditLens and related REC applications that support deal origination, credit analysis, approval workflows, regulatory compliance, data integration, and portfolio reporting.

Job Summary The IT Senior Business Analyst serves as a strategic partner between the Real Estate Capital business and Technology teams. This role influences cross-functional teams in the optimization of business processes and application capabilities while supporting the delivery of technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. The position is responsible for leading requirements analysis, business process modeling, data analysis, testing strategy, and stakeholder engagement across complex initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management

• Lead discovery sessions and requirements workshops with business and technology stakeholders.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements for complex enterprise initiatives.
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories, process flows, business rules, and technical requirements.
• Analyze impacts across multiple applications, integrations, and downstream consumers.
• Ensure requirements align with strategic business objectives and technology roadmaps.

Business Process & Solution Design

• Document current-state and future-state business processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, user experience, and automation.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, product owners, and business SMEs to design effective solutions.
• Significantly contribute to solution design activities to ensure alignment with business requirements and optimized user experiences.

REC and Credit Platform Delivery

• Support enhancements and modernization initiatives involving Moodys CreditLens and supporting REC applications.
• Analyze CRE business processes including deal intake, underwriting, approval workflows, covenant management, document management, and portfolio oversight.
• Develop data mapping and source-to-target requirements for integrations across internal and third-party platforms.
• Partner with business teams to prioritize features and capabilities that improve the end-to-end lending experience.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and support testing strategies for complex technology initiatives.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing activities with business stakeholders.
• Validate delivered solutions meet business needs, regulatory requirements, and operational expectations.
• Support release readiness and implementation activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience supporting enterprise technology solutions.
• Demonstrated experience managing requirements for complex systems involving multiple business stakeholders.
• Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and SDLC practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Experience creating process models, workflow diagrams, use cases, and business requirements documents.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence decisions and drive consensus across business and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial lending or Commercial Real Estate lending experience.
• Experience with Moodys CreditLens or other commercial credit platforms.
• Knowledge of CRE origination, underwriting, approval, and portfolio management processes.
• Experience with data mapping, system integrations, and enterprise data platforms.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling tools.
• Understanding of banking regulatory, risk, and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with cloud-based and SaaS lending platforms.
