
Position Summary
The Business Enterprise Solutions (BES) team is part of Southland's Corporate Technology & Innovation organization and is responsible for delivering enterprise technology solutions that support operational excellence, business growth, and strategic objectives across the enterprise.
The Senior Business Analyst, Finance & Accounting – Procurement & Supply Chain serves as the primary liaison between Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance & Accounting, Operations, and Technology teams. This role works closely with the Supply Chain Technology Leader to support, optimize, and continuously improve the business processes and technology solutions that enable Southland's procurement, supply chain, and financial operations. The position supports both day-to-day operational needs and strategic transformation initiatives while helping establish and mature Southland's supply chain technology capabilities.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis skills with experience in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, inventory, accounts payable, job costing, ERP systems, and construction operations. This individual serves as a trusted business partner who can translate business challenges into practical technology solutions while driving process improvement, operational efficiency, reporting maturity, and data-driven decision-making.
This position reports to the Director of Finance & Accounting Technologies.
Position Details
Business Partnership & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary technology partner for Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance & Accounting stakeholders.
- Build trusted relationships with business leaders to understand operational challenges, strategic priorities, and improvement opportunities.
- Facilitate business workshops, discovery sessions, interviews, and process reviews.
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and solution recommendations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on procurement and supply chain technology capabilities and best practices.
Procurement & Supply Chain Process Support
- Support business processes spanning:
- Strategic Sourcing
- Procurement
- Vendor Management
- Contract Management
- Purchase Orders
- Inventory Management
- Warehouse Operations
- Material Planning
- Supplier Performance
- Logistics & Distribution
- Accounts Payable Integration
- Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, manual workarounds, and operational risks.
- Recommend solutions that improve operational efficiency, compliance, data quality, and user experience.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Finance & Accounting Technology Partnership
- Collaborate with Finance & Accounting stakeholders to ensure procurement processes support financial controls, audit requirements, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs.
- Support procure-to-pay (P2P) process improvements and technology enhancements.
- Partner with Finance teams to improve visibility into spend management, supplier performance, purchasing compliance, and operational reporting.
- Support financial process integrations between procurement and accounting systems.
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery
- Develop business requirements documents (BRDs), process maps, gap analyses, use cases, and functional designs.
- Conduct current-state and future-state process analysis.
- Lead requirements gathering and solution design activities for business-led technology initiatives.
- Participate in software selection, implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and post-production validation.
- Support organizational readiness and change management activities associated with new technology solutions.
Reporting, Analytics & Data Governance
- Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting requirements.
- Support spend analytics, supplier analytics, inventory reporting, procurement performance metrics, and supply chain reporting.
- Collaborate with reporting and analytics teams to improve business visibility and decision-making capabilities.
- Ensure data definitions, reporting standards, and business processes align with governance requirements.
Strategic Supply Chain Technology Support
- Support the Supply Chain Technology Leader in executing supply chain technology initiatives and roadmap objectives
- Participate in initiatives involving ERP platforms, procurement solutions, inventory management systems, warehouse technologies, logistics tools, supplier management platforms, and related technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and industry best practices that can improve procurement, supply chain, and finance operations.
- Assist in developing business cases and recommendations for future technology investments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Finance Systems Analyst, Procurement Analyst, ERP Analyst, Supply Chain Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong experience supporting procurement, supply chain, finance, accounting, or ERP-related business processes.

- Knowledge of construction industry procurement, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, and project-based procurement processes strongly preferred.
- Experience with major ERP or supply chain platforms such as COINS, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Coupa, Ariba, or similar solutions preferred.

Pay: Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland/Virginia/DC) this ranges from $83,000.00 - $142,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
