Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical Senior Business Analyst to support data-driven business initiatives through data analysis, reporting, data quality management, and process improvement. The successful candidate will work with complex datasets and communicate analytical findings to technical teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed analysis of project and program datasets.
Apply trend analysis, outlier identification, and other data exploration techniques.
Review and validate unusual data points to ensure data accuracy.
Analyze operational, performance, and monitoring datasets.
Prepare quarterly and annual analytical reports.
Ensure reports and analyses are completed within required timelines.
Present analytical findings and explain methodologies to leadership and project teams.
Establish and maintain data management, verification, and maintenance procedures.
Document analytical processes and results.
Support research, implementation, evaluation, and process improvement projects.
Collaborate with internal departments and external organizations.
Communicate with vendors, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Support strategic initiatives through data-driven analysis.
Participate in training and apply new skills to assigned responsibilities.
Perform additional project-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications
Master's Degree in Data Science, Public Health, Statistics, Health Informatics, or a related field.
Knowledge of research design, data collection, data manipulation, and data analysis.
Strong knowledge of statistical and mathematical techniques.
Proficiency with SAS, Excel, and Python.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets.
Ability to identify trends and use data to support forecasting.
Ability to prepare clear analytical reports and presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with state or federal government datasets.
Experience with data visualization tools and statistical software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to learn new technologies, systems, and processes quickly.
