Job Description
This is a remote position.
Responsibilities:
- Integrate datasets tracking healthcare billing and payment, medical reviews, and related operations.
- Construct summaries and analyses for monitoring healthcare payments and evaluating medical review activities.
- Contribute to research questions related to federal healthcare policy and payments through data querying and analysis.
- Collaborate with a multi-skilled team of analysts and policy experts on project-based work.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical field, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or epidemiology, or similar academic experience
- 2+ years in data analysis related to healthcare
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in programming for data analysis in a language such as Python, R, SAS, or STATA
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years in data analysis related to Medicare
- Familiarity with Medicare claims data
- Data analysis proficiency in Python
- Querying proficiency in SQL
- Experience with the Integrated Data Repository (IDR) claims database
