As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support the financial management and operational oversight of enterprise telecommunications services. This role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, telecom expense management, and vendor coordination to ensure accurate financial planning and efficient management of wireline and wireless services.
Working closely with Finance, IT, Procurement, and telecommunications vendors, you'll analyze spending trends, manage telecom expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide executive-level reporting that supports strategic business decisions.
Develop and maintain annual operating budgets, forecasts, accruals, and long-range financial plans for telecommunications services
Perform monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting activities while identifying key business drivers
Analyze telecom spending trends and recommend cost optimization opportunities
Partner with Finance, IT, Procurement, and business stakeholders to support financial planning and operational decision-making
Review, reconcile, and validate telecom invoices, carrier billing, accruals, and financial transactions
Maintain accurate financial records and support reporting within SAP and other financial systems
Coordinate with telecommunications vendors regarding billing, contracts, service requests, and expense management
Support telecom inventory management, service ordering, and Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects (MACD)
Prepare executive dashboards, financial summaries, and ad hoc reports for leadership
Assist with audits, financial controls, compliance activities, and documentation
Develop reports and metrics that improve visibility into telecommunications spending and operational performance
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or business analysis
Experience supporting enterprise financial planning, variance analysis, and expense management
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookups, and financial modeling
Experience working with SAP or similar enterprise financial systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience interpreting large datasets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience managing Telecom Expense Management (TEM) programs
Experience with TEM platforms such as Tangoe, Calero, Rivermine, or similar solutions
Knowledge of telecom billing, carrier invoicing, inventory management, and expense reconciliation
Experience supporting wireless and wireline telecommunications services
Experience coordinating telecom Moves, Adds, Changes, and Disconnects (MACD)
Knowledge of telecommunications contracts, carrier pricing, and vendor management
Experience with Accounts Payable processes and invoice reconciliation
Experience building executive dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
