Position Overview

EGS is seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Planner / Scheduler to support the K-Area Nuclear Materials Program (KNMP) at the Savannah River Site. This position is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining integrated project schedules, project controls applications, and performance reporting tools that support cost and schedule management throughout the lifecycle of complex engineering and construction projects.

The selected candidate will develop and maintain Primavera P6 schedules, perform schedule analysis and variance reporting, oversee change control activities, and provide project teams and management with accurate planning and scheduling information to support informed decision-making. This role requires close coordination with engineering, project management, operations, maintenance, and customer organizations while ensuring project schedules support established baseline milestones and program objectives. 


Responsibilities

Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, analyze, implement, and maintain complex integrated, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Support short-range, mid-range, and long-range project planning activities.
  • Develop project schedule logic to support baseline milestones and project objectives.
  • Monitor project schedule performance and analyze schedule trends.
  • Perform schedule variance analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate schedule impacts.
  • Develop milestone schedules and coordinate milestone development with project management.
  • Lead schedule review meetings and support Plan of the Day (POD) meetings.
  • Provide planning and scheduling guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Serve as the planning and scheduling lead for assigned projects, facilities, or programs.

Project Controls & Change Management

  • Support project controls activities through schedule development, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Serve as Change Control Administrator, providing oversight of the project change control process.
  • Support baseline schedule development and change control implementation.
  • Coordinate project schedule updates associated with approved changes.
  • Monitor project execution against baseline schedules and recommend corrective actions.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Prepare schedule performance reports and management status reports identifying schedule variances.
  • Analyze schedule performance and communicate recommendations to management.
  • Develop integrated roadmap and presentation schedules using Milestones Professional driven directly from Primavera P6.
  • Support weekly integrated scheduling and reporting processes across multiple project teams.
  • Prepare reports supporting integrated project reviews with DOE/NNSA customers and stakeholders.

Project Support

  • Support project teams through all phases of project execution.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, startup, and construction organizations.
  • Utilize automated accounting, budgeting, cost management, and estimating systems to support planning and scheduling activities.
  • Support project resource loading analysis and schedule optimization.
  • Recommend improvements to planning methodologies, scheduling processes, and resource utilization.

Data Analysis

  • Perform data mining, schedule analysis, and modeling activities.
  • Evaluate project performance metrics and identify schedule risks.
  • Analyze project execution data to improve forecasting and schedule accuracy.
  • Develop analytical reports supporting management decision-making.




Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

One of the following combinations is required:

  • Master's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technical discipline, or related field with 2 years of practical experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Technical discipline, or related field with 5 years of practical experience.
  • Associate's degree with 8 years of practical experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years supporting commercial or federal science, nuclear engineering, or other task-relevant programs or projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated project schedules.
  • Understanding of baseline schedule development and formal change control processes.
  • Experience utilizing automated accounting, budgeting, cost management, and estimating systems.
  • Working knowledge of project management, project controls, cost control, scheduling, operations, maintenance, startup, and construction activities.
  • Demonstrated experience with conceptual estimating, engineering coordination, construction methods, labor planning, and equipment requirements.
  • Experience with:

  • Ability to perform schedule variance analysis and develop corrective action recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Primavera P6 Certification.
  • Active DOE L or Q Clearance within the past two years.
  • Experience supporting DOE/NNSA nuclear projects.
  • Experience supporting integrated scheduling activities across multiple engineering or capital projects.
