Job Description:
Seeking a Senior Data Analyst with experience in business and data analysis, including leading JAD sessions, eliciting requirements, and documenting business processes and analytical findings. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills with the ability to develop and execute complex queries and joins, perform data quality analysis, and translate business needs into actionable insights. Experience designing dashboards, KPIs, and performance measures to support data-driven decision-making is required.
 
Responsibilities:

• Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis.
• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing computer systems.
• Conduct JAD sessions, elicit requirements, and document business processes and data analysis findings.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries and joins.
• Analyze data quality and translate business needs into actionable insights.
• Design dashboards, measures, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
• Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility of requested changes.

 
Candidate Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in IT, supporting the design, development, or delivery of technology solutions.
• 8+ years of experience with Integrated Eligibility systems, including full SDLC involvement from requirements through implementation.
• 8+ years of experience in business analysis and data analysis.
• 8+ years of experience conducting JAD sessions, eliciting requirements, and documenting business processes and data analysis findings.
• 8+ years of experience using SQL, including creating and executing complex joins.
• 8+ years of experience analyzing data quality.
• 8+ years of experience designing dashboards, including measures and KPIs.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with the Texas Integrated Eligibility Redesign System (TIERS).
