Description
Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Sr Business Data Analyst to support our client in the Greater Richmond Region in the financial services industry. This position has the exciting opportunity to deliver advanced analytics and actionable insights in a consultative partnership with business leaders, leveraging cutting-edge data tools and techniques to drive business decisions. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Requirements:
Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (applied mathematics/statistics, data analytics, finance/economics, computer science, management information systems, business administration, or related field)
Minimum 3 years of professional data-and-analytics experience in a provider-to-business leader working relationship
Minimum 3 years of progressive mastery in descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics
Highly skilled in Standard Query Language (SQL) or similar tools for data-informed business situations
Creator/Power User expertise for Tableau or Power BI, with aptitude to master both tools
Proficient in developing, validating, and applying data-driven decision-making models
Desired:
Specialized business experience relevant to the supported business area
Strong business consultation skills and excellent communication abilities
Collaborate with business leaders to understand objectives and develop technical requirements for management information and analysis
Extract data from multiple sources, including Enterprise Data Warehouse, application systems, and approved third-party sources
Design and build management-information solutions, including ad hoc requests, recurring reports, dashboards, and visualizations
Develop forecasts, predictive modeling, and prescriptive analytics to inform scenario planning and key business objectives
Prepare complex descriptive and diagnostic analyses and visualizations in response to business trends and stakeholder needs
Review peer work to ensure accuracy and efficacy, and maintain management-information solutions for relevance and risk mitigation
