Rohde & Schwarz North America is creating a new Senior Business Development Manager position that will be part of the North American Security Scanner Business Development (QPS) team in the newly created Critical Infrastructure and Networking (CRITIS) division. This is an exciting career opportunity. The Security Scanner Sr. BDM position offers a unique blend of cutting-edge technology and a mission-oriented work environment that has critical societal impact. As a Senior Security Scanner BDM, you'll have the chance to work on state-of-the-art security scanning solutions that play a crucial role in safeguarding public spaces, transportation systems, and critical infrastructure across the United States and Canada. The security scanner team provides a dynamic and fulfilling environment, where innovation, problem-solving, close collaboration, teamwork, and global security concerns intersect. Your tasks

  • Direct Sales Activity: Generate sales opportunities utilizing a solutions-based sales approach
  • Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Identify and target potential clients in various market sectors (e.g., airports, data centers, government facilities).
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Development and execution of sales plans to achieve goals and targets
  • Event Participation and Networking: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote products and generate sales opportunities.
  • Product Knowledge and Training: Gain comprehensive knowledge of Rohde & Schwarz security scanner products.

Your qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the physical security equipment industry. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of physical security products and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and driven to succeed.
  • Ability to work independently and operate as an integral part of the security scanner team.
  • Adaptability and willingness to travel up to 60%.
  • In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have US citizenship or permanent work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $193K-$257K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
