Team Red Dog is hiring a Senior Business Intelligence & Analytics Engineer for our client, a leading cloud and software provider. In this fully remote, high-impact role you will design and develop enterprise reporting solutions that provide critical visibility into global data center procurement and supplier operations using Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Power Automate. You will transform complex operational data into actionable dashboards, KPI reporting, and business insights that support strategic decision-making across distributed teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced analytics professional who enjoys building modern reporting solutions from the ground up while partnering with business stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.

Top Required Skills (Must Haves):

  1. Power BI & Dashboard Development – Build enterprise-grade dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable business insights and executive-level KPI reporting.
  2. Data Modeling & Data Engineering – Design scalable data models, transform data from multiple sources, and optimize reporting performance using modern Microsoft data platforms.
  3. Microsoft Analytics Platform (Fabric, Power Automate, Power BI) – Develop end-to-end reporting solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Power Automate to automate reporting and streamline business processes.
  4. Business Analytics & KPI Reporting – Translate operational strategy into meaningful metrics, identify trends, and deliver reporting that supports procurement and supplier management decisions.

Opportunity Overview:

This role supports a global organization responsible for procurement and supplier management across large-scale data center operations. You'll play a key role in modernizing reporting by developing new dashboards, standing up enterprise metrics, and integrating data from emerging tools into scalable analytics solutions. Your work will directly improve visibility into operational performance while enabling business leaders to make faster, data-driven decisions.

How you will make an impact:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions.
  • Build scalable data models and reporting datasets using Microsoft Fabric and related technologies.
  • Pull data from multiple business systems and transform it into meaningful operational metrics.
  • Develop KPI dashboards that support procurement, supplier management, and regional data center operations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Create automated reporting workflows using Power Automate where appropriate.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend reporting improvements that increase operational efficiency.
  • Support multiple concurrent reporting initiatives while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to ensure reporting accuracy and continuous improvement.

The expertise you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience developing business intelligence, analytics, or enterprise reporting solutions.
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience building dashboards and visualizations using Power BI.
  • 10+ years of experience with data modeling, data engineering, and analytics development.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power Automate, and related Microsoft reporting technologies.
  • Experience designing KPI reporting and executive dashboards.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy.
  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting across complex business environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:

The strongest candidates have deep hands-on experience building enterprise reporting solutions rather than primarily serving as project managers. They have successfully designed scalable Power BI dashboards, developed robust data models, and delivered meaningful KPI reporting using Microsoft Fabric and related Microsoft technologies. Successful candidates are highly analytical, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, quickly synthesize business strategy into measurable metrics, and continuously seek opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and business insights.
