CTG is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our client's team in Buffalo, NY. This role will lead complex business systems initiatives, partner with cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver technology solutions that improve business operations within a regulated enterprise environment. Location: Buffalo, NY Duration: 5-months with likely extension Responsibilities Lead moderately complex to complex business systems initiatives from requirements gathering through post-implementation support. Partner with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications for technology teams. Develop test plans and test cases and execute testing activities. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet business requirements. Facilitate project meetings and serve as the functional lead for assigned applications and initiatives. Perform data analysis and support data mapping for system integrations, conversions, and enterprise projects. Develop project estimates, timelines, and deliverables across project phases. Monitor project scope, risks, change requests, and compliance with technology and regulatory standards. Coordinate post-implementation activities, including issue resolution, project reviews, and lessons learned. Assess system impacts related to regulatory, business, and enterprise initiatives. Collaborate with business teams, technology teams, vendors, and project managers to resolve issues and keep projects on track. Mentor junior analysts in business analysis methodologies, documentation, and testing practices. Identify opportunities to improve business processes, controls, and project outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least five years of experience in business systems analysis, business operations, or a related field. Strong experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements. Experience creating test plans and test cases and coordinating UAT. Demonstrated ability to lead moderately complex to complex technology initiatives. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common business analysis tools. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience in banking, financial services, or another highly regulated industry. Knowledge of systems integration, data mapping, and enterprise application frameworks. Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and software development lifecycle methodologies. Experience coordinating cross-functional teams or vendor implementations. A track record of recommending process improvements and implementing effective business solutions. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
