Saxon is hiring a Senior Buyer for an exciting opportunity with an industry-leading manufacturer in Everett, WA. We're looking for an experienced procurement professional who thrives in a fast-paced, project-based manufacturing environment and is passionate about building supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving operational success.
What You'll Do
Manage the full purchasing lifecycle for materials, components, equipment, and subcontracted services.
Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
Partner with Engineering, Production, Project Management, and Finance to support project timelines and resolve material challenges.
Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate pricing, lead times, and manage purchase orders through delivery.
Identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities while minimizing supply chain risks.
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain purchasing data, inventory information, and supplier records within ERP/MRP systems.
What We're Looking For
7+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
Manufacturing or industrial purchasing experience required.
Strong negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
Ability to read Bills of Material (BOMs), engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Bachelor's degree preferred; APICS, CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications are a plus.
