    Job Description

    Financial Additions has a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer in Carrollton, TX. This is 3-6 months contract role, with the possibility of turning full-time if additional headcount is approved later in 2026.
    Responsibilites include:
    • Manage daily purchasing activities of raw materials and supplies that align with production schedules, customer demand, and forecasted requirements.
    • Track shelf life, lot status, and expiration of raw materials to minimize exposure to outdated, excess, or at-risk inventory, and prevent product obsolescence.
    • Monitor inventory exposure of raw ingredients, identifying slow-moving, excess, or high-risk materials and recommend corrective actions.
    • Create, revise, confirm, track, and close purchase orders.
    • Maintain accurate purchasing and system data, including pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, min/max levels, pack sizes, freight terms, and supplier information.
    • Reconcile, audit, and approve invoices to ensure pricing, quantities, and terms are accurate.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, regulatory, traceability, and documentation requirements.
    Requirements include:
    • 4+ years' experience in purchasing, planning, and/or supply chain roles. Food industry experience is strongly preferred,
    • Ability to predict purchasing challenges and be prepared to implement effective solutions.
    • Solid negotiation skills and can develop strong productive supplier partnerships.
    • Ensure accuracy in purchasing data, contracts, and documentation while adhering to policies and regulatory standards.
    • Work effectively with Operations, Quality, R&D, Finance, and other teams to align purchasing decisions with business goals.
    • Proficiency using ERP/MRP systems and knowledge of inventory management processes
    • Experience in RFP vendor negotiations, cost and spend analysis, and advanced forecasting strongly preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Managemehnt, Operations, or a related field.
