We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer/Planner to oversee procurement, production planning, inventory management, and supplier relationships in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging materials, and other supplies necessary to support production schedules and customer requirements.

Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer/Planner to oversee procurement, production planning, inventory management, and supplier relationships in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging materials, and other supplies necessary to support production schedules and customer requirements.
Days: Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Must have experience using NetSuite
- Develop and maintain material requirements plans based on production schedules, inventory levels, forecasts, lead times, and customer demand.
- Create and manage purchasing plans to ensure uninterrupted supply of materials and services.
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers while negotiating pricing, contracts, and service agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives are achieved.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and production plans.
- Manage purchase orders, track shipments, and resolve supply chain disruptions to maintain production schedules.
- Analyze inventory levels and implement strategies to optimize inventory while minimizing shortages and excess stock.
- Support warehouse operations, inventory control, cycle counts, audits, and material flow processes.
- Participate in vendor qualification activities and ensure materials meet quality and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements, best practices, and lean initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Contribute to change management activities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement programs.
- Develop short- and long-term procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems and generate reports to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure materials, resources, and supply plans support operational requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, production planning, supply chain, manufacturing, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, demand planning, procurement processes, and supplier management.
- Experience using ERP and MRP systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
