About the Position:

Mason Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our growing procurement team. This is a highly hands-on role responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating pricing and supplier agreements, and ensuring the timely procurement of products supporting structured cabling, audio-visual, data center, security, wireless networking, and related low-voltage projects. The ideal candidate has extensive purchasing experience within the low-voltage, electrical, or technology integration industry and is passionate about building strong supplier relationships, driving cost savings, and supporting field operations through strategic procurement. This individual will play a key role in identifying the best products, securing competitive pricing, and ensuring material availability for both project and inventory needs.


Responsibilities:

  • Source products, materials, and equipment from manufacturers and distributors supporting low voltage construction and technology integration projects
  • Lead pricing negotiations with manufacturers, distributors, and vendors to secure the most competitive costs, favorable terms, and reliable lead times
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers while identifying new sourcing opportunities and strategic vendor partnerships
  • Analyze quotes, compare supplier proposals, and make purchasing decisions based on cost, quality, availability, and project requirements
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, rebates, standardization, and procurement process improvements
  • Manage purchase orders from creation through delivery, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment
  • Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Inventory, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations to forecast material requirements
  • Work closely with project teams to procure materials that meet project specifications and installation schedules
  • Resolve supplier issues including pricing discrepancies, shortages, backorders, shipping delays, and product substitutions
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor pricing, and product information within ERP and procurement systems
  • Stay informed on market trends, manufacturer product updates, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks impacting the low-voltage industry


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience)
  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably within the low-voltage, electrical, AV, structured cabling, security, or technology integration industries
  • Strong knowledge of low-voltage products including structured cabling, fiber optics, security systems, access control, surveillance, audio-visual, networking, and data center infrastructure
  • Demonstrated success negotiating pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements resulting in measurable cost savings
  • Established relationships with manufacturers and distributors within the low-voltage industry are highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Excel


Salary: Starting from $100,000.00 per year

Job Type: Full-time, In-Person
