Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Buyer to join our fast-paced aerospace/defense manufacturing firm. This role will be pivotal in the procurement of electronic parts and components in a high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage procurement of electronic components at the piece-part level
  • Support high mix, low volume manufacturing environment
  • Handle complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) with 100–1000+ components
  • Source and manage high-volume component demand across builds
  • Work within a documentation-heavy aerospace/defense environment
  • Utilize ERP system (Baan LN) for procurement activities
  • Perform advanced Excel analysis and data manipulation

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • 7+ years of procurement/buying experience
  • Bachelors Degree is preferred
  • Background in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated industries like medical device strongly preferred
  • Experience with electronic component procurement (critical)
  • Comfortable managing large, complex BOMs
  • Experience in mid-sized organizations is a plus
  • Experience with Infor LN (Baan) is preferred, but not required
  • Familiarity with documentation-heavy compliance environments
