Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Source electronic, electro-mechanical, and technical components from qualified suppliers.

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop supplier relationships to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Manage open purchase orders and proactively expedite materials to meet production schedules.

  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery, quality, and supply chain issues.

  • Maintain procurement records, supplier documentation, and order files.

  • Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to support operational requirements.

  • Research and onboard new suppliers for both existing and new product needs.

  • Consolidate purchases where appropriate to leverage volume pricing and improve cost efficiency.

  • Meet with suppliers and vendor representatives to evaluate products, capabilities, and sourcing opportunities.

  • Support cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing and supplier negotiations.

  • Ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and customer delivery commitments.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience within an electronic or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

  • Experience sourcing electronic components, assemblies, and technical materials.

  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, procurement processes, and purchase order administration.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting RF, aerospace, defense, communications, or high-reliability manufacturing industries.

  • Familiarity with Costpoint or other ERP platforms.

  • Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier development, and long-term vendor relationship management.

  • Understanding of electronic manufacturing supply chains and component lifecycle management.

  • Experience reviewing technical specifications, engineering documentation, and supplier quotations.
