About the role:
As a Senior Buyer you will purchase goods, materials and components and services following specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. You will report to the Supply Chain Operations Team Lead and be located at our Blairsville, PA location. Hybrid Work Schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Support RFQ/RFP process including the pricing, delivery, and Terms & Conditions
Manage the procure to pay process from engagement to Purchase Order issuance and resolve issues with our teams
Manage On Time Deliveries with suppliers and internal clients/requisitioners (plants, project)
Manage the creation of new vendors in the Approved Supplier List
Explore alternate sources for goods and materials, plan and share with Buyers
Conduct risk analysis of suppliers considering material cost trends and capacity constraints
Facilitate contract change activities
Resolve scope or cost increases, net terms, supplier claims and disputes and guide cost savings.
Coach junior supply chain professionals (Buyers)
Coordinate work to meet volume and plants requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Supply Chain or Business degree preferred.
3+ years experience in in operational supply chain, nuclear or technical areas
Knowledge of P2P (Procure to Pay), Record to Report, Order to Cash, Make to Order/ Manufacture
We prefer knowledge of manufacturing, assembly or distribution of equipment and associated suppliers.
We prefer knowledge of SAP MRP, Material Masters, Purchasing Info Records (PIRs), Source Lists, and Purchase Order automation processes.
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $64,800 to $81,000 per year.
