Position Summary:

With minimal supervision responsible for purchasing and vendor negotiations. Evaluates quotes and services, and historic performance data to ensure best quality and quality at best value.

Key Responsibilities:

§Manages inventory of raw materials by utilizing the min/max reports weekly. Updating as necessary to ensure proper inventory levels.

§Processes blanket purchase orders to ensure inventory levels for floor stock etc.

§Works with planning to forecast demand using multiple metrics, including finished goods, forecasts and usage history to determine appropriate inventory levels of raw materials.

§Assists planning by ordering raw materials needed to fulfill customer orders by creating purchase requisitions, request pricing, obtain approval signatures and placing purchase orders.

§Monitors and evaluates supplier performance along with Quality to determine and implements corrective actions to resolve impending supplier failure that may delay production or delivery.
