Are you ready to set the standard for Premium apparel?

The Role:

As a Senior Buyer at REVOLVE, you own the strategic direction of your segment. You'll manage a complex, high-visibility brand matrix, make macro-level trend and assortment calls, and translate business data into action that meaningfully scales revenue. This role blends deep retail math and negotiation expertise with cross-functional leadership and hands-on mentorship of the buying team.

Major Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead assortment strategy and make macro-level trend calls across an assigned segment
  • Evolve core product through innovation and set a clear assortment point of view across the segment
  • Own and evolve the brand matrix, including sourcing new brands and navigating current partnerships
  • Identify company-wide trends and translate them into actionable strategy within your zone
  • Study sales history, inventory levels, and key metrics (turn, GM, STI, OTB) to build action plans that optimize sell-through and profitability
  • Calculate and manage gross margin, turnover, and open-to-buy for the segment
  • Effectively negotiate with vendors on RAs, sell-through guarantees, discounts; lead high-level, independent vendor negotiations that build strategic, long-term partnerships
  • Take calculated risks to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risk; bring forward data-backed, trend-forward strategies that scale segment revenue or turn around underperforming categories
  • Review sales results to strategize timely markdowns and manage a healthy markdown business through strategic liquidation of aged inventory
  • Lead the relationship with the analyst to align on segment goals and leverage analytical support
  • Partner cross-functionally with Buying Management, Merchandising, Marketing, FWRD, and Men's teams to align on trends, crossover brands, and shared strategy
  • Oversee order placement, reorders, and tracking through your Buying Assistant to ensure timely receipt of merchandise
  • Mentor and develop Assistant Buyers, Associate Buyers, and Buyers, providing ongoing guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities; responsible for teaching and developing across the team
  • Lead special projects that support broader company initiatives beyond your segment
  • Drive process improvements and efficiencies across the buying organization
  • Some travel is required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours to get the job done

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion or Business preferred
  • 5+ years of buying experience, women's contemporary buying preferred
  • Proven experience as a Buyer with demonstrated ownership of a brand matrix or segment
  • Proficient in Excel and retail math concepts, including markup, margin planning, open to buy, and inventory productivity measures
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring, training, or managing junior buying team members
  • Proficient in Email and Microsoft applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People management experience
  • E-commerce experience
  • Experience navigating multi-brand, multi-site buying organizations
