Position Title: Senior CAD/CAE Engineer
Location: Mahwah, NJ 07430
Duration: 06 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion) / No C2C

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Engineer, CAD/CAE Engineering to support engineering and design teams through the preparation and maintenance of high-quality technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. This role is responsible for creating accurate two- and three-dimensional designs using computer-aided drafting and engineering tools while ensuring compliance with drafting standards and procedures.
The ideal candidate has strong technical drafting skills, experience working closely with engineers and designers, and the ability to independently manage complex design assignments with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain detailed design drawings, schematics, and specifications using CAD/CAE software
- Create, modify, and manage detailed 2D and 3D part and assembly drawings from:
- Engineering sketches
- Technical plans
- Written and verbal instructions
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to resolve design discrepancies and clarify specifications
- Produce drawings for complex or specialized designs requiring a high degree of precision
- Maintain and improve drafting standards, processes, and documentation procedures
- Ensure drawing accuracy, version control, and adherence to project requirements
- Support the evaluation and recommendation of CAD/CAE hardware and software solutions
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions as needed
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and practical experience
- Minimum of 2 years of CAD/CAE drafting or engineering experience
- Proficiency with CAD/CAE software and drafting tools
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, drafting standards, and design procedures
- Ability to interpret technical sketches, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or product development environments
- Familiarity with 3D modeling and assembly design
- Knowledge of drafting standards and engineering change control processes
- Experience evaluating or implementing CAD/CAE systems and tools
