Job Title: Senior CAD/CAE Engineer
Location: Mahwah, NJ
Type: Contract
Contractor Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Create, modify, and maintain detailed 2D and 3D drawings, models, and assembly documentation using CAD/CAE software.
  • Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, plans, and verbal instructions to develop accurate technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians to resolve design discrepancies and clarify technical requirements.
  • Prepare complex or precision-based drawings that require strong drafting and design expertise.
  • Maintain drafting standards, procedures, and drawing control processes.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project and engineering standards.
  • Support evaluation and recommendations for CAD/CAE software and hardware tools as needed.
  • Manage revisions and updates to engineering documentation in accordance with established procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, Design, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of CAD drafting or design experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD and/or CAE software platforms.
  • Experience creating and modifying detailed technical drawings and assemblies.
  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, sketches, and technical documentation.
  • Understanding of drafting standards, engineering drawing practices, and revision control processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and sound judgment to resolve design-related issues.
