Summary:
The Senior Case Advisor is a client-facing, revenue driving role responsible for advancing qualified opportunities through engagement close, requiring strong technical fluency across tax and wealth planning. This role leads prospect and client meetings and combines relationship building, technical tax knowledge, and consultative sales discipline to guide clients through complex planning decisions. In addition to closing business, the Senior Case Advisor provides feedback that strengthens sales processes, messaging, and client experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Opportunity advancement and close, carrying responsibility for converting qualified prospects into signed advisory engagements.
- Serve as the lead advisor in prospect and client meetings, guiding discussions, framing strategy, and managing meeting flow.
- Establish credibility quickly by demonstrating a deep understanding of each client’s tax, financial, and personal context.
- Position tax and wealth strategies with technical fluency, ensuring engagements are sold accurately and responsibly.
- Educate clients on risks, assumptions, and limitations of proposed strategies to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate cross-functionally across internal departments to ensure alignment from sale through execution.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships and expand services over time.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to the sales and engagement workflow.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of individual, trust, and business tax returns and how strategies flow through them.
- Familiarity with advanced tax planning concepts and high-net-worth financial structures.
- Ability to read, interpret, and explain technical analyses and planning deliverables to clients and advisors.
- Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills with a consultative mindset, rooted in education, trust, and alignment.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience working with high-net-worth clients in:
- Consultative sales of professional services
- Tax advisory, wealth management, or financial planning roles
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred (active status not required); EA, JD, or LL.M credentials also desired. All candidates must demonstrate advanced knowledge of tax return preparation, review, and strategy
- Bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Business, or related field)
- Prior experience in preparing or reviewing tax returns, with practical understanding of tax mechanics.
- Demonstrated track record of revenue ownership or sales performance in complex, advisory environments.
- Experience within an RIA, tax advisory firm, or professional-services environment preferred.
