Overview:

Help drive our strategic expansion of Indirect Procurement and streamline the supplier landscape across our Wholesale in North America.

You will be based at our office in Somerset,  New Jersey a minimum of 3 days per week joining a strong, collaborative team working across Denmark, Poland, and US.

Responsibilities:

Lead strategic category management that support Demant’s Group priorities
Demant Indirect Procurement is growing to support our strategic ambition to streamline our supplier landscape, strengthen governance, and increase value creation across our wholesale companies in North America, growing our Indirect Procurement team. We are therefore looking for a dedicated Senior Category Manager to take ownership of our key categories in Wholesale North America.

In this role, you will take the lead in developing and executing category strategies for Marketing, HR, and Services—areas that play a critical role in Demant’s business performance, innovation, and employee experience.

Some of your tasks will include:

  • Drive the category strategy roadmap across key areas such as Marketing, HR and Services.
  • Support Wholesale-wide efforts to streamline, consolidate, and optimize our supplier landscape.
  • Ensure transparency, compliance, and strategic alignment across stakeholders.
  • Conduct category analyses, market screenings, e-sourcing activities, and competitive tenders.
  • Lead negotiations and support commercial decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization and improved supplier performance.
  • As part of this strategic expansion, we are bringing several new colleagues into Indirect Procurement across our organization.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Degree preferred
  • 7-10 years of experience in strategic procurement and category management
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical skills with an aptitude to convert complex and conflicting needs into actionable requirements
  • Advanced negotiation skills
  • Advanced knowledge of contracts and the ability to lead stakeholders to minimize the impact of contract terms and conditions
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • 25% Travel (Denmark and Canada)

    The pay range for this position is expected to be between $110,320 to $157,600 yearly; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
