Position Purpose/Summary
Responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising a comprehensive program that will benefit the welfare of the elderly of the City of Springfield. Responsible for utilizing the multi-purpose senior center facility to meet recreational, educational, cultural, social, and economic needs of the elderly. Work is performed under the supervision of the Director of Elder Affairs. Supervision is exercised over other employees and/or assigned Senior Aides.

Paid Vacation
Earned vacation time can be taken after 6 months of service. Earned time is accrued.

Full time employees are immediately eligible to begin accruing 1 1/4 days per month which can be taken after 6 months of service. Supplemental Long Term and Short disability coverage is available to employees at the employee cost.
Paid Personal Days
Use up to 3 of your accrued sick days as Personal days. Personal days cannot be rolled over into the next calendar year.

Do you have an associates degree in a related field?

Do you have three (3) years experience in planning and coordinating services for seniors OR high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years experience in planning and coordinating senior services?
