Operational Command: Direct daily driver operations, including building driver schedules, optimizing transport routes, coordinating meal deliveries, and overseeing supply pick-ups and department inventory.
Staff Mentorship & Supervision: Provide day-to-day supervision, real-time coaching, and professional development to the driving team, promoting a highly accountable and compassionate work culture.
Training Facilitation: Lead and enforce all driver training requirements, executing thorough onboarding for new hires and managing ongoing compliance and safety refreshers.
Continuity of Care: Cross-train extensively in all department roles and step in to drive or coordinate field operations when necessary to prevent service disruptions during staffing shortages or leave coverages.
Fleet Oversight: Manage the organization's vehicle fleet, overseeing rigorous preventative maintenance schedules, ongoing repairs, asset monitoring, and strict vehicle infection control protocols.
Safety & Quality Control: Champion fleet and driver safety by conducting regular field audits, compliance checks, mandatory pre-trip inspections, and comprehensive driver safety monitoring.
Regulatory Governance: Ensure absolute compliance with California Title 22 regulations, Department of Public Health standards, and organizational safety policies.
Zone Management: Monitor and strictly enforce building loading zones (white and yellow zones), maintaining clear, professional communication with municipal entities, external vendors, and partner delivery services.
Interdisciplinary Alignment: Partner and coordinate seamlessly with regional healthcare and program coordinators, participating actively in cross-functional meetings to align logistics with participant care plans.
Incident Management: Handle, document, and report all vehicle incidents, accidents, or property damage immediately, providing detailed analytical summaries to senior leadership.
Language Capabilities:Fluent bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is required to effectively lead staff and communicate with participants.
Licensure: A valid California Driver’s License maintained alongside an unencumbered, safe driving record.
Leadership Acumen: Strong communication and supervisory skills, with a proven ability to report effectively to senior management, influence peers, and manage vendor partnerships.
Core Competencies: Exceptional flexibility, mature judgment, problem-solving creativity, and strong interpersonal skills.
Physical Capability & Lifting: Ability to stand, walk, sit, and move frequently; ability to frequently lift, carry, and maneuver objects weighing up to 100 lbs. with mechanical support or team assistance as required.
Specialized Background: Prior supervisory experience within senior care facilities, community food delivery networks, or medical transportation programs regulated by California Title 22 is highly preferred.
Technical Aptitude: Strong basic computer skills, including experience utilizing digital scheduling software, map routing tools, and data-entry platforms.
