Amazon Leo Customer Terminal Engineering is looking for an individual who will lead our Aviation Certification organization. This is a critical role ensuring Amazon Leos first aviation terminals meet applicable certification regulations on a first-generation product. As a Senior Certification Aviation Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary team to conceive, design and develop innovative phased array antenna terminals for aviation applications. You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver results on complex projects involving cross functional teams across the company
  • Subject matter expert on all certification for Leos aviation product development
  • Work with stakeholders to define requirements and product definition designed to meet aviation certification requirements
  • Contribute to and influence new product design and architecture
  • Understand current system capabilities and limitations and how this impacts certification
  • Problem solve and explore solutions to current processes and systems
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to deliver a quality product on time and at cost
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Flawless execution in delivery of documents and systems to meet and exceed our partner teams timelines

Role Requirements:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

A Day in the Life:

Leading and managing the certification aspects for the aviation products with our certification and OEM partners. Working closely with the internal engineering groups to find compliance, resolve issues and find solutions for complex certification situations. Ensure the certification program plans are managed to meet customer deliveries for our largest airline customers.
