POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The incumbent for the Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA) position is responsible to provide direct nursing care to residents of the Veterans' Domiciliary Home of Florida, under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with facility policies and procedures. Incumbent will provide assistance with all aspects of resident care as assigned by the shift supervisor, including activities of daily living, ambulation and mobility in facility. Respond promptly and courteously when answering call lights. Observe, identify and report resident concerns or needs to the shift supervisor. Complete assignments timely, completely, accurately and in a cooperative manner. Follow established performance standards and perform duties according to nursing service and FDVA policies and procedures.
