IMEG is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer specializing in civil site design, infrastructure, and/or water/wastewater design to join our Civil team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will lead and manage large, complex civil engineering projects, providing project direction, technical expertise, and innovative solutions to ensure successful outcomes for clients. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams, oversee project delivery from concept through construction, and play a key role in mentoring staff and developing client relationships. Advance your career by shaping high‑impact site development and infrastructure projects with a national leader in civil engineering.Principal ResponsibilitiesCoordinate, oversee, and manage projects of varying size and complexity, serving as the primary point of contact for teams and clientsCollaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during project initiationAssist with design scopes of work, fee calculations, and contract reviews for proposal generationDevelop project schedules, set milestones, and manage deadlinesPrepare monthly billings, submit financial information, and update billing projections and completion percentagesEnsure designs meet owner standards, IMEG standards, and code requirements; oversee quality control and construction supportLead and document progress meetings, coordinate project scheduling, and provide meeting documentationParticipate in project interviews and presentationsRespond to and resolve client and construction concerns, manage change orders, and obtain necessary approvalsMentor, train, motivate, and lead team membersBuild, maintain, and develop client relationshipsRequired Qualifications and SkillsBachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalentProfessional Engineer (PE) License10 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in the building design consulting industryDemonstrated leadership traits in the Project Management career pathAdept in the technical aspects of one's disciplineMastery of technical and analytical skills including proficiency in the Civil Engineering fieldAbility to perform final quality control check in their area of expertiseAbility to sell work and develop client relationshipsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groupsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAttention to detail and problem‑solving skillsEagerness to adapt to new challengesProficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to travel up to 20% with occasional overnight staysThis position is not eligible for sponsorshipWhy Join UsIMEG puts people first—with a strong focus on career growth, work‑life balance, and meaningful impact.
