You will be instrumental in crafting and validating comprehensive cost estimations for our diverse paving initiatives. Your strategic insights will be pivotal in enhancing our project acumen, tipping the scales in favor of project acquisition and execution. We are seeking a visionary leader to cultivate and expand our talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and evaluate project blueprints and documentation for precise cost predictions.
- Navigate and manage bidding protocols for both public clientele and private investors.
- Determine resource allocations including labor, materials, and time by meticulously reviewing project outlines.
- Engage with subcontractors and suppliers for quotes and perform detailed analyses.
- Develop and deliver compelling bid proposals to executive leadership.
- Participate in essential site inspections and preparatory meetings.
- Advise on innovative value engineering alternatives.
- Update and utilize historical cost databases and devise estimation frameworks.
- Foster the growth of junior team members and drive efficiency advancements.
Required Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in estimating, with a strong focus on pavement-related civil projects.
- Demonstrated history of managing estimates for a broad spectrum of civil infrastructure projects.
- Competence with essential software applications including Excel and Bluebeam, with familiarity in HeavyBid, Bid-To-Win, and AGTEK advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in communications, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation strategies.
- A decisive focus on timely and comprehensive bid submissions.
