    Description

    Senior Civil Structural Architectural (CSA) Engineer

    We are seeking a Senior Civil Structural Architectural (CSA) Engineer to provide high-level technical leadership and oversight for complex industrial and infrastructure projects. This is a highly visible, client-facing role responsiblefor coordinating with clients and multi-office engineering teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and commercially successful project delivery across the full lifecycle.

    This opportunity is ideal for an experienced CSA leader who brings strong structural expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide teams through complex engineering challenges while maintaining a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

    Key Responsibilities
    Technical Leadership & Project Execution
    • Provide senior-level technical leadership across CSA scope
    • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet client and regulatory requirements
    • Develop and review equipment specifications, material requisitions, and data sheets
    • Lead and support:
      • Technical bid evaluations and clarifications
      • Vendor data reviews
      • Certification activities
    • Review and approve work completed by engineers, designers, and specialists
    • Contribute to cost estimates and technical proposals
    • Support overall project execution strategies
    Client & Stakeholder Coordination
    • Serve as the primary CSA interface with clients and project teams
    • Lead technical coordination and facilitate resolution of complex issues
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Participate in discussions involving complex technical decisions
    • Mentor junior engineers and team members
    Site Support & Constructability
    • Participate in constructability, operability, and maintainability reviews
    • Ensure findings are incorporated into engineering and design
    • Collaborate with field teams to resolve construction and execution challenges
    • Support development of plans and documentation for:
      • Construction
      • Testing and commissioning
      • Operations and maintenance
      • Project handover
    • Provide on-site support during construction and commissioning as needed
    Leadership & Team Development
    • Lead CSA teams, coordinate workloads, and track progress
    • Ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget
    • Mentor and develop engineering staff
    • Support performance management and foster a high-performing team environment
    Decision Making & Autonomy
    • Recommend project execution strategies and technical solutions
    • Collaborate with leadership on design alternatives and risk mitigation
    • Operate within project budgets and schedules
    • Escalate and seek approvals for deviations when required
    Systems & Tools
    • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
    • Work within document management and engineering systems
    • Maintain awareness of CSA tools and multidisciplinary engineering environments
    • Experience with Access or Visio is a plus
    Health, Safety & Sustainability
    • Champion strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance
    • Promote safe and sustainable engineering practices
    • Demonstrate leadership in workplace safety and well-being initiatives
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering, or related field
    • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license (as required)
    • 10+ years of CSA engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role
    • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices
    • Proven experience leading teams and delivering complex engineering projects
    • Experience with project estimating and proposal development
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with risk management and quality management processes
    • Exposure to procurement, construction, and field engineering
    • Strong budgeting and cost control experience
    • Formal leadership or project management training
