About the Job Kent is looking for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer (Discipline Lead Engineer) to support and lead civil/structural engineering efforts for LNG projects and other oil & gas industry projects. You will serve as the discipline lead, with primary responsibility for coordinating all civil/structural engineering activities at the project level. The role requires ensuring all engineering deliverables are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with client requirements, company procedures and applicable industry codes and standards. You will provide strong technical expertise, leadership skills and the ability to interface effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and contractors. The position is posted for anticipated upcoming projects and qualified candidates may be contacted as project timelines are confirmed.Responsibilities Provide civil, foundation and structural design of medium to large size engineering projects.Define and review scope of work, prepare engineering estimates at both proposal and design level and schedule for civil/structural engineering portion of work in a project.Serve as the Civil/Structural Discipline Lead for LNG and related energy infrastructure projects.Lead and supervise a team of engineers and designers; provide technical guidance and mentorship.Interface with other disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical, piping) to ensure integrated project execution.Plan, coordinate and manage all civil/structural engineering activities across project phases (FEED, detailed design, construction support).Ensure timely delivery of high‑quality engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications and calculations.Review and approve civil/structural design documents for compliance with project requirements and applicable codes/standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC, PIP).Coordinate with clients, vendors and construction teams to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment.Monitor project progress, budgets and resource allocation; identify and mitigate risks.Support procurement activities including bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.Provide construction support, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings and site visits as needed.Ensure adherence to company QA/QC procedures and safety standards.Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques and industry standards.Develop and recommend improvements in engineering and design standards to lower cost, improve work quality and facilitate maintenance.Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.Serve as the engineer of record for all civil/structural engineering deliverables.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required (Master's degree preferred).Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil/structural engineering, with significant exposure to LNG, oil & gas or large industrial EPC projects.Proven experience and track record as a civil/structural discipline lead engineer on major projects.Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design for steel and concrete structures, foundations and industrial facilities.Familiarity with international codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, IBC, PIP).In‑depth experience and knowledge of engineering software/tools such as STAAD Pro, SAP2000, RISA3D etc. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and 3D modelling.P.E. license (preferable in the State of Texas) is required or able to obtain within six months after joining Kent.Experience in construction of plants desirable.Communication Full fluency in English is required.Second language desired but not required.Excellent verbal, written communication skills and coordination abilities required.Behavior / Core Competencies Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.High attention to detail and commitment to quality.Problem‑solving mindset with strong engineering judgement.Must be able to work under pressure.Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department.Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.HSSE/Q The employee shall observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the company; its clients and the governing authorities of the host country.Details About the Role Location: Houston, TXRelocation required: N/ATravel required: N/AContract type: Regular, Full‑timeExperience level: 10 years experienceEqual Opportunity Employer We are an Equal Opportunities Employer and value applications from all backgrounds, cultures and abilities.We're a disability‑friendly employer and can make adjustments to support you to perform at your best during the recruitment process.#J-18808-Ljbffr
