JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Client Executive at NetApp, you are the strategic leader of a portfolio of complex enterprise accounts. You are responsible for developing long-term account strategy, cultivating executive relationships, and driving measurable business outcomes across some of our largest customers. Working alongside your dedicated Solutions Engineer, Channel Partners, Customer Success, and internal specialists, you'll align technical solutions with business priorities while expanding NetApp's footprint through both strategic account growth and net-new opportunities.

This role is designed for accomplished enterprise sellers who thrive in complex environments. You'll balance protecting and expanding existing customer investments with creating new opportunities across whitespace, navigating sophisticated buying committees, and leading high-value sales motions from strategy through execution. If you're energized by executive engagement, long-term planning, and winning transformational opportunities, this is where you'll make an impact.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the strategic direction and long-term growth plan for a portfolio of large, complex enterprise accounts, driving both expansion and net-new business.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies that identify whitespace, competitive displacement opportunities, and multi-year growth initiatives.
  • Build trusted executive relationships across IT, Infrastructure, Security, Finance, Procurement, and C-level leadership to align NetApp solutions with customer business objectives.
  • Partner closely with your dedicated Solutions Engineer to develop technical strategy, position differentiated solutions, and deliver compelling customer outcomes.
  • Build and leverage strategic relationships with Channel Partners (VARs), distributors, and alliance partners to create demand, expand market reach, and accelerate complex deal execution.
  • Lead sophisticated enterprise sales cycles from discovery through qualification (MEDDPICC), solution strategy, commercial negotiations, executive alignment, and close.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Partner Managers, Professional Services, Product Specialists, and executive leadership to execute account strategy and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Maintain disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, territory planning, and executive account reviews, providing clear visibility into business opportunities and risks.
  • Balance immediate execution with long-term strategic planning to consistently exceed revenue objectives while strengthening long-term customer partnerships.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding business priorities, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technology initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Experience selling NetApp technologies or adjacent enterprise infrastructure solutions across storage, data infrastructure, cloud, AI, cybersecurity, or hybrid cloud platforms.
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex enterprise accounts while driving significant expansion and net-new business opportunities.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans that build executive relationships and deliver sustained customer growth.
  • Extensive experience leading complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple business units, technical stakeholders, procurement, legal, and executive leadership.
  • Strong experience operating within a channel-driven sales model, building and leveraging strategic relationships with VARs and partner ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with Solutions Engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver differentiated customer solutions and win highly competitive opportunities.
  • Highly disciplined in territory planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and executive-level business reviews.
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to build executive business cases, communicate ROI, structure complex commercial agreements, and negotiate enterprise contracts.
