The Senior Client Service Manager, Stock Plan Services (SPS) role is responsible for creating and implementing a world class client experience for our largest, most complex Equity Compensation corporate clients.  Working with the Client Service Administrator, the Senior Client Service Manager will oversee the relationship’s daily processing and project work, ensuring that our clients take full advantage of all services available.  

Responsibilites include, but not limited to: 

• Act as an Subject Matter Expert for corporate clients: 

• Provide technical and product knowledge resource for high value clients. 

• Design, plan and implement action plans for clients to adopt the most current standards of Schwab’s administrative services. 

• Provide end to end client experience ownership of Broker, Legal, Accounting, Administration and Taxation solutions.  

• Demonstrate fluency with ASC718 / IFRS2 concepts and application. 

• Learn and implement complex administration concepts within Schwab’s recordkeeping systems. 

• Stay current in regard to equity compensation industry standards and trends via conference participation (GEO and NASPP) including speaking engagements, continuing CEP education, local industry chapter participation, client forum presentations, etc. 

• Oversee the daily administration actions that processed by the Client Service Administrator in order to ensure that all client needs are met consistently and on time.  Assist during high profile events in order to ensure proper execution and timely delivery of required tasks. 

• Act as thought partner to our top tier clients to resolve plan issues and implement processes to support our client’s needs. 

• Partner with the SPS Relationship Management team to identify and take advantage of opportunities to expand assigned relationships with our financial wellness and participant services offerings. 

• Consult in development of on-site Client Service Review meeting materials and participate in the delivery of materials directly with clients. 

• Act as escalation point for client resolution in instances of Sr. Team Manager absence. 

• Coach and mentor Client Service Team members on product, plan and industry knowledge. 

• Act as mentor during onboarding process for new client service staff. 

• Provide back up support for Client Service Managers as needed. 

• Communicate effectively with senior leaders within Stock Plan Services. 

• Act as an ambassador of Schwab’s vision and culture. 

What you have

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Equity Professional (CEP) Certification.  

• 5+ years Equity Compensation experience. 

• Advanced Knowledge of Excel and other MS Office skills. 

• Ability to travel 10- 25%. 

• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast paced environment. 

• Ability to influence and  build consensus among key stakeholders through excellent communication, problem solving and presentation skills. 

• In depth knowledge of equity compensation record keeping tools to perform job function. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Series 7.

• Bachelor’s degree. 

• Project management, business analysis and/or consulting experience.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
