Title: SENIOR CLOUD ARCHITECT
Location: 2 Broadway - MTA Headquarters (THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE CONSULTANT TO WORK 3 DAYS ONSITE & 2 DAYS REMOTE.)
Duration: 12 months (37.50 hrs/week)
This position will be responsible for understanding and documenting user needs so that an appropriate system can be developed to meet those needs. This will be accomplished by identifying user problems with the existing system and opportunities for reengineering.
We are seeking an Enterprise Architect consultant to develop:
1) Client's Enterprise Architecture (EA) Strategy that is anchored in a value proposition to ensure EA focuses on driving the most critical outcomes in support of the overall MTA organization's enterprise strategy.
2) Client's Enterprise Architecture Standards, or minimal set of requirements, rules and principles governing the EA's design and evolution to support the client's vision, strategic plans, and performance objectives.
This person will also facilitate in setting the direction for integrating information technology and programs across our organization. This includes helping guide informational architecture and optimizing business operations for efficiency with an emphasis on knowledge sharing among stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:
" Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture Domain (Reference architecture, Target Architecture, Governance, Design principles and Patterns, Defining roadmaps)
" Capability Roadmap development
" Experience using architectural modeling tools and constructs
" Skilled at aligning technology capabilities to business solutions
" Excellent technical, analytical and project management skills
" Strong communication and interpersonal skills
" Good leadership and motivational skills
" Certification in TOGAF or similar EA framework is preferred.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline and five years' experience as a Systems/Business Analyst. Experience should include solid background in user problem identification, problem assessment, development of alternative solutions, cost/benefit analyses of alternative solutions and working with programmers during the design, development and implementation phases of the project to ensure that user needs are being satisfied. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, proven problem solving ability and excellent negotiating skills are essential. Experience in preparation of project plans a must.
