Your Role

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting scalable cloud-native applications and infrastructure while driving automation, platform reliability, and cloud modernization initiatives.

Rate Range: $55/hour to $65/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Senior Cloud Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Build and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure solutions through automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Develop and support RESTful APIs, integrating enterprise applications with cloud-based services and databases.

• Manage and optimize MongoDB and other data storage solutions to ensure performance, availability, and security.

• Monitor application and infrastructure health, troubleshoot production issues, and implement performance improvements.

• Collaborate with architects, security teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

• 3-5+ years of experience in software development, cloud-native application development, and microservices architecture.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), REST APIs, and microservices-based application development.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub, Jenkins, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cloud automation, and deploying scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Pay Details: $55.00 to $65.00 per hour
