The Senior Cloud Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating a secure, resilient, and cloud‑first networking environment supporting the firm’s on‑premises, cloud, and remote connectivity needs. This role focuses on Zero Trust networking, secure remote access, and enterprise network security controls, with a strong preference for Palo Alto and Microsoft network technologies.

The engineer partners closely with infrastructure, security, cloud, and endpoint teams to deliver reliable connectivity for offices, remote users, and cloud-hosted services. The position plays a critical role in advancing the firm’s Zero Trust network architecture, improving service reliability, reducing risk, and ensuring consistent network governance across a highly regulated legal environment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Engineer and operate Zero Trust networking controls, including least‑privilege access, segmentation, identity‑aware access enforcement, and continuous verification across network paths.
    • Implement, manage, and support Palo Alto Networks platforms, including next‑generation firewalls, Panorama security policy management, and secure remote access solutions (e.g., Prisma Access / GlobalProtect).
    • Support cloud networking services and integrations, including connectivity for Azure workloads and SaaS platforms, and partner on cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
    • Provide advanced troubleshooting and incident response for network and secure connectivity issues; partner with service desk, cloud, and security teams to resolve complex, high‑impact incidents.
    • Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, diagrams, and runbooks; participate in change management, audits, and continuous improvement of network services.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and hands‑on enterprise experience supporting network and security infrastructure.
    • Palo Alto Networks certifications (e.g., PCNSA, PCNSE), Cloud networking or security certifications (e.g., Azure‑focused networking credentials), Industry security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP)
    • Hands‑on enterprise experience designing and supporting cloud and hybrid network environments
    • Strong understanding of Zero Trust networking principles and secure network architecture
    • Experience administering enterprise network security platforms, preferably Palo Alto Networks technologies
    • Experience supporting secure remote access solutions for large user populations
    • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills in an enterprise environment
    • Experience operating in regulated or security‑sensitive environments
