Senior Cloud Software Engineer

Clear Ridge Defense is seeking TS/SCI cleared professionals with polygraph to serve as a Senior Cloud Software Engineer in Fort Meade, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will...

• Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse Big-Data Cloud systems based upon documented requirements.
• Directly contributes to all stages of back-end processing, analyzing, and indexing.
• Provide expertise in Cloud Computing, Hadoop Eco-System including implementing Java applications, Distributed Computing, Information Retrieval (IR), and Object Oriented Design.
• Work individually or as part of a team.
• Review and test software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
• Resolve software problem reports.
• Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
• Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.

Must-Haves

You possess...

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• A Top Secret clearance with polygraph.
• Twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• Experience in: Cloud Big Table, Cloud Distributed File System, MapReduce analytics, Computer Network Operations, VMWare/VirtualBox, programming languages (Ruby/Python).
• A Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science/Mathematics related field.
• An ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic workplace with unique TTPs.
• Experience in SIGINT collection (FORNSAT, CABLE, Terrestrial/Microwave, Overhead, ELINT).

Nice-To-Haves

• Leadership experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Information Retrieval using Cloud technology.

$90,000 - $220,000 / year

• The option year of the contract the employee is assigned to.
