Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to serve as a Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) advisor. The ideal candidate will have strong cloud architecture and networking expertise, the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, and the communication skills needed to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.In this role, you will work closely with operating contractors, hardware vendors, and security stakeholders to ensure the platform stays secure, reliable, and aligned with mission goals. As a SETA advisor, youll tackle ambiguous mission needs and turn them into sound technical strategies --focusing on independent evaluations, architectural guidance, and security accreditation rather than routine hands-on sysadmin tickets.Experience10 years relevant experience.4 year degree.Key Responsibilities· SETA Advisory & Technical Governance: Conduct independent technical evaluations of contractor proposals, architecture designs, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) Scripts.Support the health, availability, and day-to-day operations of the Azure Stack Hub environment.· Serve as a senior escalation point for complex Azure Stack Hub technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems involving compute, networking, identity, storage, and platform services. Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud solutions across compute, networking, identity, and storage services.· Serve as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders to support project and program goals.· Monitor system performance, availability, and health using appropriate monitoring and logging tools.· Security & Accreditation (ATO): Partner with ISSMs/ISSOs/ISSEs and security control assessors (SCAs) to review vulnerability scans, track POA&Ms, and ensure configurations meet NIST SP800-53a and DISA STIG requirements.· Analyze technical challenges and develop innovative solutions to meet operational and mission requirements.· Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.· Contribute to documentation, architecture decisions, operational procedures, and technical recommendations.Required Qualifications & Skills· 3+ years working with Azure Stack hub· Solid understanding of computer networking protocols, architectures, and principles.· Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing solutions on Azure Stack Hub.· Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting tools.· Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure and back-office applications, including Exchange.· Understanding of security requirements and system accreditation processes.· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.· Ability to interpret vague or evolving requirements and develop effective, novel approaches.· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.· Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and organizational stakeholders.· Active TS/SCINice to haveRelevant Certifications: AZ-600 (Azure Stack Hub operator), AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect), Security+, or CISSPCore CompetenciesCloud Architecture | Azure Stack Hub | Networking | Compute | Storage | Identity & Access Management | Monitoring & Logging | Exchange | Systems Operations | Security & Accreditation | Troubleshooting | Technical Communication | Cross-Team Collaboration
