2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Senior CNC Lathe Machinist Description:
Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, adjust, and optimize CNC and manual lathe machines to manufacture precision components according to customer specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, technical documents, and GD&T requirements.
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, machine parameters, feeds, and speeds to ensure efficient and accurate production.
Perform machine setups, offsets, tool changes, and program adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards.
Troubleshoot machining issues, tooling concerns, and production challenges to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production, inspection, and quality documentation.
Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely and efficiently.
Perform routine machine maintenance and communicate equipment concerns to leadership.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet customer requirements and production deadlines.
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to less experienced machinists when needed.
Requirements:
8-10 years of CNC Lathe machining experience.
Extensive experience with machine setup, operation, tooling, troubleshooting, and process optimization.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and GD&T specifications.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and perform detailed quality inspections.
Strong mathematical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and material characteristics.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience machining plastics, composites, insulation materials, or specialty engineered products.
CNC programming and editing experience.
Punch Press experience.
Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.
Forklift experience.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
