Our unit, Rexnord Aerospace, caters to the commercial air transport sector with high-specification products like spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, and more, serving eminent engine and airframe manufacturers globally.

Role Overview: In this role, you'll be setting up and operating diverse CNC machine tools for tasks such as turning, drilling, and welding to craft precision components within a work-cell setting. It's vital to adhere to safety and quality protocols and maintain an organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and execute from process sheets, blueprints, and machine status boards.
• Expertly make and adjust chuck jaws.
• Install tooling in machine turrets accurately.
• Utilize hand and manual tools as required.
• Perform efficient machine setups and make programming tweaks.
• Aim for precision with a variety of CNC operations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Possibly train and guide junior machinists.
• Calibrate preset gauges thoroughly.
• Coordinate with supervisors and support teams for problem-solving.
• Ensure quality and accuracy in personal and team outputs, fulfilling documentation needs.
• Engage in rotating duties across departments and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Data entry in ERP systems and handling parts up to 25 lbs.

Ideal Candidate:

• Comes with U.S. export control qualification as a U.S. Person.
• Proven experience with CNC lathes and mills, with setup knowledge.
• Possesses a high school diploma or equivalent vocational experience.
• Understand the fundamentals of CNC machinery and mathematical calculations.
• Able to interpret complex blueprints in English.
• Passes a mechanical aptitude test if external.
• Capable of lifting weights up to 50 lbs and sustaining a full-shift stand.
