A day in the life

You arrive for a Monday–Friday shift at 7:30am in our Alsip, IL facility and kick off with safety checks. Your morning might include interpreting electrical schematics to isolate a fault on a CNC, applying Lock Out/Tag Out before swapping a drive, and reading hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams to trace pressure loss. By midday, you could be leading the relocation of a manual mill, aligning it to spec with micrometers and gauges. The afternoon is about preventative care, documenting work, coordinating with teammates, and handing off a clean, safe cell ready for production.

• Champion safety for yourself, co-workers, contractors, customers, and property; report hazards and model safe behaviors.
• Keep work areas orderly and aligned to preventative maintenance plans.
• Prepare/interpret wiring diagrams, layouts, and electrical schematics.
• Lead installs, removals, and relocations of equipment.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems; determine and perform needed repairs.
• Apply Lock Out/Tag Out rigorously when servicing equipment.
• Pitch in beyond the routine and complete other duties with excellence.

Schedule & location

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm (Weekends as needed)

Location: Alsip, IL (fully on-site)

Compensation

Pay: Starting pay will be $36.40 per hour.

Pay Range

Starting pay will be $23.10 - $35.00 per hour based on experience. This is a full-time, hourly position.

The pay range reflects a variety of factors used in setting compensation, including experience, training, certifications, skills, and organizational needs. The range shown does not include geographic differentials that may apply based on the work location. Typically, new hires do not start at the top of the range; individual offers are determined by the specific circumstances of each case.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic machinery.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience with CNC and manual machine tools; High School Diploma, Trade school certification, or GED preferred.
• 2+ years troubleshooting/repairing hydraulic and pneumatic circuits, heating/cooling, and general building systems.
• 2+ years reading mechanical prints, blueprints, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• 2+ years using micrometers, gauges, meters, calipers, and related precision tools.

Preference

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Preferred.

Work environment & physical requirements

• Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, heat/cold, fumes, and chemicals.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; kneel, bend, climb ladders, work in confined areas; extensive walking/standing.
• Comfort working at height (e.g., on a scissor lift).
