Job Roles and Responsibilities
  • Maintain daily execution control and improve on time delivery
  • Lead, prioritize, train, coach, and provide accountability for a small team
  • Run and improve shop processes including setups, inspection discipline, and documentation habits
  • Perform hands on machining when needed, especially on critical path and high value work
  • Set the standard for speed and quality on the shop floor
  • Maintain an aerospace and defense mindset regarding quality, documentation, and repeatability
  • Collaborate with engineering to find best practices to problems and ensure design functionality
  • Teach and mentor team members regularly to raise overall shop capability
  • Eliminate quality escapes through rigorous in process checks
Qualifications and certifications
  • Ten years of advanced CNC programming and setup experience is required
  • Five years of prototyping experience with complex high tolerance parts in aluminum, titanium, and stainless steels
  • Strong CNC machining background including four axis mills and turning with live tooling, with multi axis experience being a plus
  • Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and the ability to teach it
  • Proven leadership experience in either formal or informal lead roles
  • Ability to handle high pressure environments with an ownership mentality
  • Military background is a plus
