We’re hiring a Senior CNC Turning Machinist to lead independent setups and production on Kia and Hardinge Fanuc-controlled lathes—delivering parts to +/- .0002 every time.

Your mission

Be the go-to for transforming a traveler into stable, repeatable output. Arrive at 6:00 a.m., stage materials, fixtures, and tools, complete the first article with the shop foreman, then drive a smooth, efficient run. You’ll apply offsets, make minor program edits, verify results with micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM equipment, and eye loupes, and crush quality issues at the source. When workload surges, overtime is available.

How you’ll contribute

• Set up and operate Fanuc-based CNC lathes independently
• Hit tight tolerances of +/- .0002 on aerospace components
• Select optimal tooling, fixtures, and materials
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and job travelers
• Collaborate with the shop foreman to complete first articles
• Make offset adjustments and minor program changes
• Perform rigorous in-process inspection (micrometers, calipers, CMM equipment, gauges, eye loupes)
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues to maintain throughput and quality
• Keep machines and work areas clean, safe, and organized

What sets you up for success

• 5+ years running independent CNC lathe setups
• Expertise with Fanuc controls
• Track record with tight-tolerance aerospace or similarly precise parts
• Ability to manage the full job lifecycle—from setup and first article to production
• Top-tier blueprint-reading and metrology capability
• Strength in diagnosing/correcting setup, tooling, offset, and quality issues
• Independent, safety-first mindset and clear communication
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods in a machine-shop environment
