A Day in the Life

When you clock in, you’ll move from print review to precision cutting without missing a beat. You’ll stage materials, set tooling, and bring complex parts to life on 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL lathes. Some days you’ll jump onto 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC mills or support with manual machines to keep work flowing. You’ll evaluate tooling needs and requisition what’s required to get the job done right the first time.

What You’ll Do

• Set up and operate manual machines in support of CNC work as needed.
• Set up and run 2-axis CNC horizontal and VTL lathes; optionally set up and run 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills.
• Organize, stage, and move materials to maintain momentum in the shop.
• Evaluate and requisition purchased tooling and shop supplies.

What It Takes

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least four years of machine tool setup and operation in an ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype or job-shop environment, following complex documentation and verbal/written instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
• Day or night schedules available; night shift earns a 15% differential on top of base pay.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay: $35.00–$45.00, plus an additional 15% for night shift. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based on a good faith and reasonable estimate. Final compensation will be determined by your qualifications (education, training, and/or experience related to this role) and may fall outside the listed range depending on the circumstances.
