Picture your day: You open Mastercam, translate a customer print into a robust CNC lathe program with live tooling paths, head to the machine to set up, load tools, verify offsets, and run a first article. You measure critical features, compare them to the blueprint, make fine-tuned edits at the control, and keep a sharp eye on dimensions throughout the run to hold tight tolerances. Between parts, you keep the work area organized, capture production and quality data, and follow every safety and quality directive without exception.
What you will do
Create and optimize CNC lathe programs in Mastercam, including live tooling operations, to meet customer specifications.
Set up and operate a variety of CNC lathes; machine components directly from customer-stated requirements and blueprints.
Confirm correct machine setup by measuring positions and inspecting first-run/first-article parts.
Inspect and measure parts throughout production to verify blueprint conformity and quality standards.
Monitor in-process dimensions and adjust offsets/programs as needed to consistently maintain tolerances.
Complete production and quality logs to accurately document actions and results.
Keep the workstation clean and orderly at all times.
Adhere to all company processes, procedures, quality directives, and safety practices.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What you bring
